Laundries are struggling with enormous increases in energy costs, resulting primarily from gas consumption and the carbon emission pricing governing this fossil fuel. Laundries, in particular, are almost inevitably dependent on gas for steam and heat generation required for drying.

Polyester blending shortens drying times

To reduce this energy expenditure, Floringo offers three new towel qualities. They shorten drying time by blending polyester yarns into the warp, weft, and pile. The polyester content is precisely balanced so that the characteristic properties of Floringo terry qualities remain unchanged: lasting high softness and skin-friendliness, excellent dimensional stability, and superior durability.

The following variants are offered in detail: A blended yarn used exclusively in the weft, which corresponds to a polyester weight share of approximately 7% for the entire towel. If this yarn is also used in the warp, the synthetic fiber content in the towel increases to 15–20%. By processing it in the warp, weft, and pile, a blended fabric consisting of approximately 35% polyester and 65% cotton is created. Due to this optimized structure, the towels bind less moisture and release it faster, consequently saving energy and CO₂ emissions—the higher the polyester content in the overall fabric, the greater the savings.

Field-tested, suitable for leasing, and flexibly available

All three terry qualities have been field-tested and have proven their suitability for leasing. The "Professional-Line PE/CO 450" series, with a fiber mix of 82% cotton and 18% polyester, has already been added to the stock range. In white, it covers all relevant sizes for bathroom and wellness area outfitting, including hand towels, shower towels, bath towels, bath mats, and sauna towels.

Thanks to the high flexibility of Floringo's own Turkish production, all variants can be delivered within a few weeks—targeted and image-promoting, with sizes and colors according to customer specifications. One example is the waffle towel, which is produced as a lounge and sauna towel with 350 g/m² and a polyester content of 7%, reducing the ecological footprint while maximizing efficiency and image.
